Various Senior Litigation roles in both NY and DC.
Job functions and requirements listed below:
JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Ability to perform legal research, draft correspondence, cite-check, bluebook, and analyze pleadings.
- Experience with litigation document review databases, case management databases, and e-discovery software.
- Understands Litigation protocols, an ability to anticipate attorney needs, an ability to exercise independent judgment.
- Experience overseeing junior level paralegals.
- Ability to coordinate and manage case documents, including organization, substantive review and preparation of documents for production.
- Experience with Trial preparation and logistics
- Experience attending Trial
- Attends client meetings, coordination meetings, and legal proceedings
- Provides legal project management
- Supervises Project Assistants, Paralegals and Senior Paralegals on assigned tasks
- Maintains notary license in local jurisdiction.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Trial experience is required
- Strong knowledge of state and federal rules
- Knowledge of legal principles, practices, laws, and regulations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of legal processes and practice-group specific procedures
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and practice-group specific software.
