A Spanish version of this position is available upon requestLa version de esta posicion esta disponible en Espa ol si es requeridaBHSN, one of the fastest growing organizations providing whole person care in the region, is in search of passionate individuals to join our rapidly growing team!Your role at BHSN:As a CASAC at BHSN, you will assist individuals, couples, families, and community residents in developing and maintaining the coping skills and resources necessary to reduce and/or eliminate substance-related use concerns from their lives, as they continue to work towards a substance free lifestyle and their personal recovery goals.What s in it for you?Generous benefits, including personalized health coverage, paid time off, and holiday payWorking within our community, making a real impact, working alongside passionate colleaguesAccessible leadership team, coaching for your growth, and ample training opportunitiesAs a rapidly growing organization, there are endless opportunities to grow within the organizationCommunity discounts, loan forgiveness & moreWhat your day might look like:Provides supportive and educational individual, couples, family, and group counseling servicesDocuments all services in accordance with Federal and State regulations, as well as BHSN policies and proceduresCoordinates services, as necessary, with primary care providers, legal entities, psychiatrists/psychiatric nurse practitioners, mental health clinicians, and other chemical dependency treatment facilities for person-centered, holistic care that ensures people are receiving the services they need and at the level of care necessary to support them with their recoveryDevelops and documents treatment plans, safety plans, and other related paperwork (e.g., screening tools; session notes; etcetera) in a timely mannerPerforms alcohol and drug related oral and/or urine screeningsSupports individuals with community referrals to address their needs including, but not limited to transportation, linkage to other services, care coordination, care management, housing, and discharge planningYour skills and qualifications:Valid NYS Educational Department CASAC certificationExperience in or knowledge of addiction/chemical dependency field preferredStrong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skillsProficient in Microsoft Office softwareValid NYS driver s license, acceptable to insurance carrier, for required local travelCPR certification required within 60 days of employmentEEO Statement: BHSN is an Equal Opportunity Employer, and supports Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in its hiring and employment practices so that every team member can feel like they belong and be their authentic self to thrive in their personal and professional lives.
