CAFETERIA ASSISTANT
FOOD AND NUTRITION SERVICES DEPARTMENT
Part-time Position
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Supervising the children in cafeterias and classrooms during breakfast and
* lunch period.
* Encouraging students to consume all lunch foods, including milk.
* Cleaning and wiping tables and spills after each breakfast and lunch period.
* Assisting children to open food packages, milk, and juice containers.
* Redistributing refused food to sharing table.
* Providing students with extra straws, napkins, condiments, etc.
* Picking up all garbage, but also encouraging students to pick up paper and food
* items, on and around their table or desk, and placing them into a refuse
* container.
* Assisting the cafeteria workers in handing out food and milk, help to keep
* students in order as they pass through line.
* FFVP-Assist in packaging and distribution the bags or baskets of fresh fruit and
* vegetable.
* Spot sweep and spot mop any spill of beverage or food.
* Recycling unwanted milk into containers to discard
* Lifting of bokes or milk crates.
