Dayton T Brown, Inc. is one of the nation's largest independent Engineering and Testing Laboratory, seeks a **Buyer-Sr. Level** who will be responsible to perform tasks which require knowledge and experience in procurement procedures, public law and FAR/DFAR.

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to:**

* Creating and maintaining procurement files, generating procurement documents, utilizing procurement systems, data entry and reporting

* Remains current on new processes and systems to ensure best procurement practices and strategies

* This position requires a level of independent judgment, analytical skill, and decision-making

* Clear, concise, oral and written communication skills

* Ability to read and understand technical data, blueprints, and manuals

* Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with a diverse clientele, including supervisors, other employees, professional peers, government customers, and the general public

* Understand policies, procedures and regulations relevant to procurement

* Cradle to Grave Procurement; Price and Source justification, Purchase Order approval and acceptance/confirmation, Receiving and Invoice processing/issue resolution, Return Material Authorizations (RMA), Damaged Material Return (DMR), Corrective Action Report (CAR)

* Reporting; Bid recaps, open commitment reports, expediting open orders

**In this role, you will need:**

* 4 yr. College Degree

* **MUST** have min of 5 years' experience in professional procurement, purchasing, contracts or similar area.

* **MUST** have prior experience in defense contractor of government agency

* Solid communication, problem solving, in depth research and analysis are necessary

* Strong knowledge of office software skills including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and prior Purchasing Software experience a plus

* Experience with or knowledge of Government Contract Agreements is especially useful

* **US Citizenship**
