Our offices and manufacturing facilities are located in Irvington, NJ approximately 14 miles west of New York City.Job DetailsJob Details:We are currently seeking an experienced and highly-skilled Permanent Buyer for our dynamic manufacturing team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, innovative environment where your expertise in purchasing will play a critical role in our ongoing operations. The Permanent Buyer will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of procurement, from identifying potential suppliers to negotiating contracts and ensuring timely delivery of goods. This role requires a strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and a strong commitment to quality and efficiency.Responsibilities:1. Develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies.2. Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.3. Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms.4. Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation.5. Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power.6. Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.7. Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers.8. Determine quantity and timing of deliveries.9. Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand.Qualifications:1. Proven working experience as a buyer or relevant role (3+ years required).2. Solid knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policy, and systems.3. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing software.4. Ability to negotiate and sustain networking relationships.5. Positive attitude, detail and customer-oriented with good multitasking ability.6. Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions and manage several projects simultaneously.7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.8. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.9. Bachelor s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.10. Certification in supply chain management or procurement, such as Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) or similar, is a plus.
