Job Description:
You will play a pivotal role in driving strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing capital markets operations. Leveraging your deep knowledge of capital markets products and processes, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business transformation and optimize operational efficiency. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, stakeholder engagement, and exceptional communication abilities to deliver successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deep knowledge of capital markets products, including Equities, Fixed Income, Listed Derivatives, OTC Derivatives, Wholesale Loans, etc., to drive business transformation initiatives.
- Articulate the entire lifecycle of capital markets products, from execution to processing, trade reporting, clearance, settlement, custody, and books and records postings.
- Familiarity with capital and liquidity management concepts to optimize operational processes and mitigate risk.
- Comprehensive data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement within capital markets operations.
- Project stakeholders representing Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office Operations, Finance, Regulatory Compliance, and Legal to ensure alignment and collaboration throughout project lifecycles.
- Maintain project plans, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful project execution and delivery.
- Create a communications strategy for informing project sponsors and C-Suite level executives of a program s or project s progress, risks, issues, and decisions to be made.
- Compelling and engaging PowerPoint presentations to effectively communicate project status, risks, and issues to senior management and stakeholders.
- Working group and steering committee meetings, utilizing strong verbal communication skills to lead discussions and drive consensus among stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- 3 years experience in finance and banking with top tier commercial banks, investment banks and/or Big 4 consulting firms.
- Experience in capital markets operations, with deep knowledge of capital markets products and processes.
- Understanding of capital and liquidity management concepts.
- Experience leading complex projects involving stakeholders from diverse functional areas.
- Communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
- Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project), JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, and Data Analytics and Visualization tools (SQL, Python, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.).
