You will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to providing a full range of support to the assigned attorneys in alignment with the firm's core values. This position will work with other talented individuals who share a passion for doing great work in the best interest of our clients.Job Description:What you would do:
  • Provide high level, detail focused, and proactive paralegal litigation support in all phases of the litigation process
  • Demonstrate knowledge and expertise in civil litigation, state and federal court procedures
  • Collect, organize and maintain documents, materials, charts and other key information related to the matter
  • Analyze and organize large amounts of information and data sets
  • Assist with discovery, including coordinating with internal/external parties, setting up databases, running searches, reviewing documents, redacting information, and preparing productions
  • Prepare witness files and materials for deposition
  • Draft subpoenas, notices, and form documents
  • Assists with court filings including, cite and fact checking, compiling exhibits and filing briefs at the state and federal
  • Research court rules and procedures, periodicals, public searches, and other legal materials for attorney review
  • Utilize various firm technologies and resources to effectively support attorneys and clients
  • Compose summaries for attorney review
  • Prepare materials and coordinate logistics for trial/arbitration
  • Special projects and other duties, as assigned

  • Ability to project manage and work under tight deadlines with competing and shifting priorities
  • Ability to bill 1550 hours annually.

The anticipated initial hourly rate for someone who is hired into this position is $46.00 - $56.00/hour annually based on a 37.5 hour a week schedule.Actual initial hourly rate may be above or below the above-identified range and will be based on the relevant skills, training, experience, and other job-related factors, including the location where the position is filled, in all cases consistent with applicable law. This is a non-exempt role paid on an hourly basis with a 37.5-hour schedule work week. The initial hourly rate listed above is just one component of Faegre Drinker's total compensation and benefits package for professional staff, which includes, but is not limited to, a discretionary bonus; life, health, accident, and disability insurance; and a 401(k) plan.What is required:
  • Bachelor's Degree and/or paralegal certification or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of paraprofessional experience
  • Previous law firm experience with litigation background at the federal and state level is preferred
  • Experience in CM/ECF or local e-filing processes is a preferred
  • Certification by the NALA or NFPA is also beneficial, but not required
