Business Development ManagerThis position will be responsible for supporting the Global Managing Director & CRO in RFA's further expansion into the Financial Service Industry in the United States. MUST BE LOCATED IN THE NYC METROPOLITAN AREA.The ideal candidate will be an organized and ambitious individual looking to get into a longer-term business development role. An understanding of Information Technology and Managed Services in a consultative sales environment is required. In addition to staying abreast of industry trends, RFA's competition and best practices, he/she will assist with the entire lifecycle of the sales process while assisting the Global Managing Director & CRO in day-to-day activities. Assist with building and managing new business development initiatives by striving to understand Clients' overall business requirements and technology needs. This role will also act as the primary point of contact for both potential and existing Clients assigned to them, providing dedicated Client support while identifying key business opportunities with prospects from lessons learnt from existing clients.Our candidate will be a strategic, execution-oriented lead generation professional with 5+ years outside sales experience and a proven track record selling Information Technology and Managed Services in a Consultative sales environment. He/She will drive sales and manage new business development initiatives, continuously striving to understand clients' overall business requirements and technology needs, industry trends, RFA's competition and best practices. Responsibilities Proactively gain an excellent understanding of RFA product knowledge and the USP areas attributed to the firm. Target decision makers including VP and C-level professionals, within the Financial Service Industry (Asset Management, Hedge Funds, Fund to Funds, Trading & Brokerage). Proactively identify and engage potential Clients utilizing various sales methods including cold calling, email, trade shows, and social media. Maintain Client database entering all relevant information daily including new sales opportunities on the CRM and providing weekly update reports Plan and lead sales presentations, effectively demonstrating RFA's ability to provide value-added solutions-based strategies; clearly articulate RFA's ability to resolve Client issues Develop a trusted advisory relationship with assigned Client base; Enhance Client satisfaction through regular non-technical relationship building contact. Quoting of services and equipment for existing clients when required. Co-ordination and management of events including attendance and networking. Updating and Maintenance of the Sales pipeline and CRM systems to track sales activity. Learn and understand the target sector in order to assist with networking and RFA promotional activities. Assist with Marketing and Sales campaigns. Assist Global Managing Director & CRO in various administrative tasks daily as well as individual reporting updates and team updates in US. Leading relevant RFP and RFI bid teams programs through to closure. Assist with population of marketing materials and procurement of related materials. Heavy Involvement with new business generation activities. Identifying and engaging potential Clients utilizing various sales methods including cold calling, email, trade shows, and social media. Maintaining strategic relationships with people and companies that may bring or refer new business, such as but not limited to Fund Administrators and Leading financial software developers. Gain a clear understanding of Clients' overall business and IT strategies; effectively communicate to RFA design and produce initial proposal drafts. Liaison with all relevant business units to secure resources required to complete task/s on time when completing proposals or RFP responses. Develop a trusted advisory relationship with assigned Client base; Enhance Client satisfaction through regular non-technical relationship building contact. Collaborate across departmental lines to promote outstanding Client service. Maintain excellent tracking of business activities through RFA's CRM system.Qualifications 5+ years of experience in Sales and Account/Client Relation Management (or similar related experience, i.e. Office Management in an IT firm) consultative, solution-based environment with demonstrable ability to show proactive prospecting abilities. Good understanding of Infrastructure Technology with a continuously learning mindset. Excellent active listening skills and able to ask relevant questions in order to gather, document and communicate effectively with Clients and internal project stakeholders. Able to work on simultaneous projects (multitask) and completing tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision. Strong organizational, relationship and verbal and written communication skills. Strong cold calling ability and excellent follow through. Able to communicate with technical and non-technical professionals including VP and C-Level professionals in a clear and concise manner. High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint). Financial Service Industry experience strongly preferred. Sales Methodology experience. Proposal writing experience and skills. Excellent telephone skills. High degree of accuracy. Demonstrated ability to prioritize issues$100,000 - $200,000 a yearThe base compensation is $100-120K, but it's $170-200K OTE
