Business Analyst/Project Manager - Electronic Trading (Fixed Income Derivatives)

The Role:

Join our passionate team as a Business Analyst and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of derivatives trading. You will collaborate closely with our rates trading team and leading bank dealer clients to identify and implement solutions that optimize their trading experience on our cutting-edge platform. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business stakeholders, traders, and clients to understand their trading needs and challenges.
  • Translate business requirements into clear and concise functional specifications and test cases.
  • Prioritize and manage the project backlog for efficient execution.
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure projects meet established functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Foster clear communication between business and development teams, bridging the gap between technical and non-technical aspects.

You are a perfect fit if you have:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or QA Analyst with electronic trading systems, preferably in a front-office role.
  • Experience working with and supporting traders and portfolio managers.
  • Experience with IRD, Fixed Income, or Equity trading.
  • Experience supporting front-office trading teams.
  • Proven ability to thrive in an Agile/Scrum development methodology (2+ years of experience, certification preferred).
  • Experience working with offshore development teams (2+ years).
  • A strong desire to work in a fast-paced startup environment (highly desirable).
  • Excellent project management skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Engineering (a Master's degree or MBA is a plus).
  • Hands-on approach with a dedication to high-quality work.
  • A problem-solving mindset and a passion for innovation.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
