We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst/Project Manager for a client, a major investment bank, with prior experience managing projects in the Fixed Income eTrading space, preferably within Credit or Rates.
Responsibilities:
- Gather user requirements and develop suitable solutions aligned with business and IT strategies.
- Provide guidance on best practices for eTrading platform architecture.
- Create detailed specifications, ensuring validation by users, peers, and stakeholders.
- Develop and manage project plans, ensuring effective communication of progress.
- Collaborate with production support teams for the rollout of changes and new functionality.
- Analyze and project manage developments related to pricing and electronic markets applications.
- Provide third-line support for applications used by front-office users.
- Work as part of a global development and business analysis team.
- Collaborate closely with the Global QA team, participating in end-to-end testing and functional UAT.
Required Qualifications:
- Previous experience implementing integrated e-Trading platforms and workflows.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver IT development projects, preferably in a front-office environment.
- Proven ability to analyze and document business and functional requirements.
- Proficiency in SQL, with experience working with SQL Server and/or Oracle.
- Previous experience with the FIX messaging protocol.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with different teams.
- Ability to work within a global team.
- Experience working in a technology team at a large global investment bank.
- Experience working in a Fixed Income Front Office Environment, with a preference for Credit.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Credit Products such as Corporate Bonds, CDS, CDS Index, and Secondary Loans, and their trade processing.
- Familiarity with Credit ETF Products and their trade processing.
- Understanding of D2D and D2C cash order management and pre-trade workflows.
- Strong project management skills, including experience managing regular steering meetings with business sponsors and stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of ION Trading Services (Connectivity, STP, RFQ, and MMI).
- Knowledge of SDLC and prior experience working on software development projects.
- Familiarity with modern source control systems such as Git, SVN, Perforce, or Source Safe.
- Bachelor's degree in an applicable subject (Engineering, Computer Science, Math, etc.).
