Some Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage all employee benefit programs, such as medical, dental, ancillary benefits, life insurance, accident and disability insurance, COBRA, flexible spending, and the Agency's 403(b) plan.
  • Serves as the subject matter expert for management and first point of contact for Agency's employees regarding all employee benefits issues, concerns, and questions,
  • Present Agency benefits during New Hire Orientation.
  • Liaison with insurance carriers and brokers.
  • Manage benefits open enrollment process, including any communications to be sent out to staff/management regarding open enrollment.
  • Administers and tracks all employee FMLA/PFL, workers' compensation, and/or other similar leaves and absence while ensuring compliance with applicable law and Agency policy.
  • Generates reports concerning HR activities for management, when and as requested.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of work experience in an employee benefits or similar role.
  • Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws.
  • Enthusiastic team player, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ethics and cultural awareness.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Knowledge of administering employee benefits is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Experience working with Kronos or a similar HRIS system.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
