We are currently seeking a few exceptional people who have a passion to make a meaningful impact by facilitating the lives of the amazing people we support.

The Childrens Services of ACLD provides a continuum of services to children from ages three to twenty-one in their pre-school and after-school programs. We currently have an opportunity for a Behavior Support Specialist to join our Bay Shore facility. In this role, you will assist in the implementation of positive behavioral interventions, supports and services utilizing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

We require:

High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college and/or working towards certification as New York State Certified Behavior Analyst Assistant preferred.

Three or more years experience providing services to children with Autism and/or developmental disabilities.

Experience assisting with the administration of Functional Behavioral Assessments preferred.

Strong knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis, data collection, classroom management, communication, organization and planning skills, related to students with all types of special education needs.

Strong communication skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other professionals.

Must have the ability to plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities.

Basic Microsoft Office skills required.

Bilingual preferred.

Must be physically able to handle all aspects of the supervision of the day-to-day activities of preschoolers which may include, but not limited to, running, bending, and lifting children.

35 hours per week, 7:45-3:15pm or 8-3:30
