Job Description:

The Operations department of Hartree Partners is seeking an experienced Battery Metals / Concentrates Operator. The position is charged with executing and managing physical trades through the entire life cycle while ensuring strict compliance to operations procedures and processes. The ideal candidate will have experience with managing physical commodity movements from point of origin to point of sale, as well as experience coordinating the many aspects of trade financing and risk mitigation.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute global transportation flows of battery metals and related byproducts
  • Execution of physical trades including coordination of customer deliveries with industry best practices
  • Account management including oversight of regional markets, customer requirements, and inventory tracking
  • Experience with Assay exchanges and coordinating with laboratories
  • Negotiation of deal financing, Letter of Credit review and negotiation, and supplier payments as well as Credit coverage
  • Container and Bulk freight negotiations
  • Coordinating with the Legal and Finance departments for new vendor/warehouse set up in support of new business development

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor s Degree
  • Minimum 2-4 years experience in Transportation Logistics, Operations, Customer Service
  • Experience with Container freight bookings preferred
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Understands industry vetting standards and/or Project Management functions are preferred
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Problem-solving and thought partnering skills
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

*The salary range for this position is $95,000 - $125,000. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, work location, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law.
