Primary roles and responsibilities
- Assists with opening and closing duties as required
- Restocks the bar with supplies, including straws, napkins, napkins, glassware)
- Responsible for preparing required garnishes, juicing citrus and other fresh ingredients for our cocktails
- Ensures bar is well-stocked at all times during service with ice, liquor and wine
- Keeps the bar clean by wiping down surfaces, sweeping, mopping, removing soiled glasses and utensils and emptying trash
- Understands our cocktail menu offerings and their respective recipes
- Provides additional assistance to the service staff as needed
- Processing payments especially during peak hours
Requirements
- Training or certification in related field, an asset
- Experience working in a similar role, an asset
- Must be of legal drinking age
- Upholds a professional appearance
- Knowledge of wines and spirits, an asset
- Has good communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work well under pressure and take direction
- Is observant and has a strong sense of urgency
