Join our established team of dedicated professionals and become a part of history in the making at the American Museum of Natural History!Five-day work week, inclusive of weekend availability and no night shiftsWorking as a Back of the House Manager, you are responsible for all activities in the back of the unit for the account. You will provide leadership and direction to utility and culinary team including hiring, training, developing, coaching and counseling.Key Responsibilities:Adheres to HACCP guidelines to ensure efficient, safe and sanitary food production, purchasing, receiving, food storage and facility maintenanceProvides leadership and direction to utility and culinary team including hiring, training, developing, coaching and counselingOversees inventory, ordering/purchasing, food cost controls, training, sanitationPreferred Qualifications:Degree in Culinary Arts is preferred or equivalent professional experienceMinimum of three years of progressive culinary/kitchen management experienceHigh volume purchasing, food storage, inventory control and sanitation experienceSelf-starter and ability to multitaskKnowledge of safe and sanitary food handling principlesAbility to lift, bend, carry up to 40 lbs., manage proper storage of food items as necessaryStrong supervisory, leadership, hands-on management and coaching skillsGood communication skills both written and verbalProficient computer skills to include; various computer programs, Microsoft Office programs, e-mail and the InternetStrong financial, budgetary, and food cost control practicesConformity to the highest standards of personal integrity and ethical behaviorServSafe or Department of Health certification a plusApply to Restaurant Associates today!Restaurant Associates is a member of Compass Group USAClick here to Learn More about the Compass StoryCompass Group is an equal opportunity employer.
