Their mission is to introduce transparency into traditionally opaque markets, ranging from fine art to commercial real estate. They are on the lookout for a skilled Back End Stack Engineer to join their ambitious project. This role is pivotal in crafting a top-tier application aimed at revolutionizing private banking for clients of independent wealth managers and family offices. Working closely with the design team, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a seamless user experience across web and mobile platforms. The technology stack includes Django/Python for backend development and Next.js/React for frontend tasks.

About the Position

The Back End Stack Engineer will collaborate directly with the technical leadership, contributing significantly to the development lifecycle from planning to deployment. This position demands a proactive approach to creating responsive front-end applications and robust back-end systems.

Responsibilities

• Engage in all phases of software development, from planning to deployment.
• Work with 3rd party providers to build out integrations
• Develop responsive and user-friendly interfaces using Next.js/React.
• Work in collaboration with the team to conceptualize, develop, test, and support new functionalities.
• Uphold high-quality standards and swift delivery through agile methodologies.
• Craft efficient, maintainable, and scalable code.
• Provide peer reviews and constructive feedback.
• Enhance and maintain the technological stack.
• Architect a flexible front-end and back-end structure.
• Implement robust security protocols and data protection measures.
• Address, debug, and refine software.
• Assure software compliance with quality, security, and configurability standards.
• Support documentation, testing, and automation efforts.

Requirements

• Location preference for NYC-based candidates.
• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
• A minimum of 3 years back end development experience, preferably within a FinTech setting.
• Experience with full stack as well is a plus
• Proficiency in Django/Python and Next.js/React.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and database management systems.
• Comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Experience in testing, debugging, and using code versioning tools like Git.
• Prior startup experience is an advantage, with a readiness to navigate early-stage challenges.
• Exceptional problem-solving, detail orientation, and collaborative skills.
• Independent work ethic with a strong sense of initiative.
