No H1B CON EDISON - AZURE DEVOPS TESTER (NYC) PAY RATE: $55-60/HR C2C PARTIAL REMOTE The IT Business Systems Delivery (BSD) Customer Engagement Product Delivery team supports, manages and implements a portfolio of IT system capital initiatives with our CustomerOperations, Energy Management, Steam Operations and Customer Energy Solution (CES) business partners. This IT team supports each initiative from conception to implementation and provides the necessary IT support required to either enhance existing systems, create or enhance interfaces and or design, develop, test and implement new applications. The Customer Engagement Capital Product Delivery Team is looking for a Senior Tester with strong communications skills, to work within existing IT teams to help foster relationships, facilitate and coordinate standard project operations and support and drive excellence. Role & Responsibilities Drive the testing efforts and participates in the Software Development LifeCycle (SDLC) Verify the quality of the requirements, including testability, requirements definition, test design, test-script and test-data development, test automation test-environment configuration; test-script configuration management, and test execution Test planning, including development of testing goals and strategy Create and execute test plans and scripts, based on defined business requirements and acceptance criteria Maintain the Test Traceability Matrix (tracing the test procedures to the test requirements) Educate customers and project team about User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Facilitate meetings with stakeholders throughout the testing process Review and validate UAT test results Schedule and lead daily defect meetings and other meetings as required with stakeholders Manage the triage process for defects including assignments to Development and coordinating ownership and resolution Create summary reports and communicate defect metrics on a daily and weekly basis Coordinate and follow up with Development Leads and Testers on defect fix estimates and retesting estimates Collaborate with the Project Manager or Project Lead regarding the Integrated Change Control Process for change requests during the testing phase Identify opportunity for automated testing and execute where applicable and beneficialRequired Skillset for Testing Resource: Basic knowledge of software testing approaches: Agile, Waterfall, DevOps, SaFE Experience leading and mentoring testing teams Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong Experience with Azure DevOps Test Plans, Backlog and Dashboards o Test Plans and scripts with Azure DevOps Test Plan o Work Item resolution in Azure DevOps (Bugs, Incidents & Issues) Experience writing detailed test cases/scripts from business requirements Experience executing test cases/scripts Experience with concepts of API testing using Postman helpful Ability to react/produce in an Agile project atmosphere.
