Job Description:
The AVP, HR Compensation, based in our New York Headquarters, is responsible for developing, implementing and administering compensation, such as salaries, short- and long-term incentives, job evaluations, performance appraisals, salary increases, salary surveys, and long- and short-term incentive plans. They may provide services in Executive Compensation, Sales Compensation, and other specialized areas of compensation.This is a position will implement organization strategies through the effective direction and management of direct and indirect resources, while being accountable for the business strategies, functional or operational areas, processes or programs.The AVP - HR Compensation:
  • Provides technical guidance and consultation to HRBPs regarding compensation programs and policies.
  • Reviews market pricing and compensation decisions for alignment with best practices.
  • Provides complex analyses to ensure compensation is aligned with existing philosophy and guidelines.
  • Review and provide direction for overall compensation philosophy and compensation design
  • Review and implementation of compensation program structures.
  • Conducts advanced reporting and modeling
  • Crafts and reviews compensation communication and education materials for employees or managers.
  • Provides informal mentorship to Compensation Analysts.
  • Works independently to recommend guidelines, policies and processes.
  • Implements functional business plans and contributes to the development of functional strategies, ensuring alignment with current trends and functional/business results.
  • Formulates, communicates and implements both functional and organizational policies and practices.
  • Implements and adapts plans to meet internal and external customer needs, ensuring alignment with strategy and expectations.
  • Evaluates current business processes and systems, driving cost-savings and risk control.
  • Ensures all work is follows regulatory and corporate guidelines.
  • Applies expertise and understanding of competition and industry trends to projects, strategy, etc.
  • Coaches and encourages lower level managers to achieve better performance.

In addition to base salary, Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus/commission (short-term incentive), and equity (long-term incentive), comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for growth.
