PURPOSE : The Automation Intern will assist the assembly and commissioning team with new machine builds, tear down of rebuilds, and electrical assembly of automation equipment. The ideal candidate will be a motivated, self-starter with a desire to learn and grow in the field of Automation. Responsibilities Monitor and apply safety standards to maintain a safe working environment. Assist with mechanical/electrical tasks for new and rebuilt automation equipment. Assist with general documentation tasks centered around assembly and commissioning. Handle basic project related and engineering tasks as needed. Support the Equipment Solutions and Support team as needed. Qualifications Motivated, self-starter, with a willingness to grow and learn new skills. Basic computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint Currently studying in a technical or electrical engineering related field. Reasoning, analytical, and problem solving skills. Ability to work well in a goal oriented, team environment. Desired Skills : Experience with AutoCad or other design software.
