A recognized regional CPA firm located in New York City is actively seeking an experienced Auditor, with a Commercial background, for a great Senior-level opportunity. In this role, the Auditor Senior will be responsible for running client engagements, reviewing client accounting & operating procedures and systems of internal control, and conducting audit tests. Responsibilities: The Audit Senior will:
- Oversee workpaper documentation
- Perform basic preparation of federal and state income tax returns
- Participate in development of accounting worksheets
- Supervise, train, and mentor staff and interns on audit process
- Assess performance of staff for engagement reviews
- Perform in-charge role as needed
- Perform accounting research
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a Public Accounting role/setting
- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Accounting
- Commercial and Financial Services experience
- Excellent client service and communication skills
- Outstanding analytical, organizational, and project management skills
- Working knowledge of Audit Preparation software
- Microsoft Office proficient
- Solid analytical skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
