Few external recruiting companies can offer what we offer: JAS Recruitment is locally owned and headquartered in Syracuse and we have an established national network that places candidates in a vast array of disciplines across the entire US and Canada.POSITION SUMMARY:The Associate Sales Manager is responsible for the identification, qualification, and acquisition of new client companies. This requires canvasing the employment landscape to find target customers who are likely to utilize the firm s services. Once identified, the Associate Sales Manager will contact mid to senior level (up to C-suite) employees at the customer target to pitch them our solution offering. High level, consultative conversations will be held with contacts within Human Resources, Finance, Operations, Engineering, Technology, Sales and Marketing.Once a client company has agreed to utilize the firm s services, the Associate Sales Manager will negotiate and execute a recruiting agreement with the customer. From there the Associate Sales Manager is responsible for managing the client relationship from cradle to grave including obtaining more business, facilitating interviews, holding intake calls, holding feedback calls and resolving any candidate/client issues.RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Contact mid to senior level (up to C-suite) employees at the customer target to pitch them the firm s solution offering. High level, consultative conversations will be held with contacts within Human Resources, Finance, Operations, Engineering, Technology, Sales and Marketing.
  • High volume of cold calling
  • Negotiate and execute the terms of the services agreement with the customer.
  • Facilitate job order intake calls to review the requirements of specific requisitions.
  • Disseminate job requisition information to the JAS Recruiting department and answer any questions the Recruiting team has about the job order.
  • Hold client and job order trainings for the JAS Recruitment Recruiting department
  • Hold regular cadence calls with the client company to determine the status of the requisition(s) as well as next steps.
  • Resolve any recruiting challenges with the client company which can include setting expectations and educating the client about the candidate market.
  • Expand your relationship with client companies to gain business in other functional areas or locations of the client company.
  • Assist the client company and the JAS Recruiting department in tending job offers to JAS Candidates and resolving any issues related to the offer or the candidate s situation.
  • Assist other members of the Agency whenever and however needed.
  • Provide weekly updates to colleagues and management regarding the status of their clients and job orders
  • Take regular turns making coffee and refilling the water cooler
  • Regular exchanges of pleasantries with JAS co-workers
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Education: Bachelor s degree is required
  • 4+ years of demonstrated success within a sales or new business development position OR experience within the recruiting industry and a willingness to sell
  • Exceptional can do attitude
  • Interpersonal qualities that include but are not limited to: reliance, drive, persistence, grit, determination, trustworthiness, and integrity
  • High level of intelligence
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication skills include; 1. the ability to clearly and concisely articulate your thoughts and the JAS Recruitment value proposition to client companies and JAS Recruitment employees 2. The ability to navigate your way through complex situations where you need to think and communicate quickly on your feet, often with little or no preparation
  • The ability to quickly and effectively build a strong rapport with client contacts that almost always know more about the positions we are looking to fill on their behalf.
  • Strong internet-based research skills including the ability to make connections/correlations between disparate sources of information to create opportunities that will generate new leads or business.
This position's target salary range is $50k - $85k, and is eligible for uncapped commission and annual bonus plans. #Hybrid
