The Cookware Company is seeking an Associate Product Manager (hard goods) to join the dynamic Product Development team! This is a hybrid role located in Irvington, NY.

Role Overview

This position will be responsible for managing day to day operations related to development, costing, and communication of new product creation to all Sales & Marketing personnel. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience in Product Development / Management, understand how to interpret and disseminate product specifications, costing, and features, and have the communication skills needed to effectively coordinate with internal and external partners to develop products, coordinate related graphics / marketing materials, and trouble-shoot related issues. Support Product Information Manager in development correlating tasks including, but not limited to prototype sample ordering and system item creation for PO placement.

Responsibilities

  • Own extension development and new standard product requests coordinating with factory and/or sourcing including but not limited to: Cost Requests, Sample Requests, Rendering Requests
  • Track all open projects to update with status and/or concerns to Sr. Product Manager
  • Compile and communicate all product specifications and features to related parties.
  • Coordinate QC & Testing matters with suppliers and 3rd party resources.
  • Coordinate with Sales & Marketing to ensure that all development milestones / agendas are met in relation to internal and external timelines (i.e. Sales is prepared for customer meetings / line reviews with all appropriate costing, renderings, samples, etc.)
  • Communicate and collaborate with Project Manager on accurate packaging / supporting material deadlines and follow-up to ensure all resources are provided in adherence with timelines.
  • Back-up Product Information Manager assisting with factory/3rd party sample requests (supporting Sales, Marketing and/or Product Manager)
  • Back-up Product Information Manager assisting with item/upc set-up via Dynamics 365
  • Stay informed on all new applicable product features / technology.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in marketing, merchandising or related field
  • 2 years of experience in Product Development or related field
  • Excellent communication skills resulting in concise, results driven dialogue
  • Strong analytical background
  • Strong organizational background and ability to multi-task
  • Well-versed in Microsoft Excel and Office Applications
  • Microsoft Dynamics, PIM system, or like alternative experience a plus

Work Environment

  • Hybrid - Irvington, NY & remote
