Catalio Capital Management is a New York City-based multi-strategy investment firm that invests in life sciences & healthcare companies through its private equity, private credit and public equities strategies. Today, we have a team of over 40 people between our NYC and London offices. Catalio is a close-knit and highly energetic team of smart and ambitious people. You ll work side by side with professional investors, entrepreneurs, scientists and clinicians to help us support companies bringing leading innovations to market that will meaningfully improve the lives of patients around the globe.

The Operations Associate will join Catalio s operations and finance team and will primarily work on middle office functions within our public equities strategy, Catalio Public Equities, which focuses on high conviction long/short investments in life sciences companies.

Responsibilities:

  • Own all daily middle office functions, including booking equity and FX trades, reconciling trading activity, resolving trade breaks, and internal reporting for multiple accounts
  • Support treasury functions, including wire transfers and fund expense reimbursements
  • Support internal fund accounting functions, including allocations, monthly closes, reconciliations, and reports, as well as annual tax and audit
  • Collaborate across internal teams, including the finance, compliance, legal, IR, and investment teams
  • Collaborate externally with fund administrators, custodians, counterparties, technology vendors and other service providers in the course of daily cash and position reconciliations, margin calls, file processing, and process improvement
  • Support adherence to internal controls and compliance protocols through rules maintenance

Requirements:

  • Team-first attitude
  • Ability to consistently and accurately meet daily deadlines
  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Two years experience in a middle office or operations capacity at a hedge fund or investment bank
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and Bloomberg required, OMS and PB systems knowledge highly preferred

This position is full-time, in-person in New York City.
