JLL, Hotels & Hospitality is seeking an Associate to join our Americas Asset Management Practice, responsible for providing asset management services for a portfolio of hotel investments on behalf of JLLs clients, including both individual hotels and portfolio level oversight and reporting. The position is based in New York City.

* Support a team of senior managers involved in the asset management of full service, select service, and luxury hotels.

* Review, proactively manage and opine on annual operating and capital plans, and operating performance.

* Administer all aspects of real estate ownership and lease structure (as applicable)

* Effectively interact with hotels teams during weekly and monthly conference calls and meetings to review operating performance.

* Benchmark and analyze hotel- and portfolio-level financial data to identify areas of opportunity.

* Review, comprehend, and negotiate key legal documents including loan agreements, management agreements, franchise agreements, service contracts, leases, ground leases, purchase and sale agreements, etc.

* Perform annual asset valuations disclosing methodology, inputs, etc.;

* Prepare annual hold/sell analysis for review by ownership groups.

* Monitor and track capital expenditures (routine capital expenditure and major renovations) at each hotel.

* Execute on all aspects of writing, research and/or production of client-specific monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports, meeting minutes, and research papers by assigned deadlines.

* Maintain current knowledge of key hotel and tourism trends, sales, indicators, supply and demand dynamics, performance statistics and related topics through various industry-standard tools.

* Contribute to and maintain the asset management reporting systems .

* Additional asset management tasks, as required, to maximize the value and investment return of each hotel for our clients.

* Prepare clients presentations and pitches.

* Performs all job duties and responsibilities in an honest and ethical manner and in compliance with all laws, regulations, and Company policies.

* Serves at the direction of the New York senior management team.

Qualifications:

* 2+ years hospitality-industry specific work experience in operations and/or hotel real estate asset management.

* BA/BS degree in Business Finance, Hospitality and/or Real Estate Finance.

* Experience in hotel operations, budgeting/forecasting, capital planning/project oversight.

* Demonstrated strong analytical and quantitative skills.

* Demonstrate a solid understanding of revenue management or finance and opening hotels strategies to optimize revenue streams and grow market share.

* Experience in Revenue Management or Hotel Finance is a plus.

* Ability to think and act strategically with experience analyzing leasing and investment decisions.

* Strong negotiation, analytical and interpersonal skills are essential. Ability to work independently.

* Strong verbal and written communication skills.

* Comprehend all aspects of financial modeling and underwriting logistics of hospitality-related real estate investments.

* Detail-oriented and well-organized.

* Ability to work within formal reporting relationships.

* Hands-on, can-do attitude, and flexibility to adjust priorities in response to rapidly changing circumstances/deadlines.

* Exemplary work ethic and interest in working in an entrepreneurial environment setting with a strong team culture.
