Job Description:

A NYC-based professional services firm is seeking an Associate Director of Public Relations for a hybrid role of 2-3 days in office. The successful candidate will lead the public relations campaigns designed to elevate the company s brand presence and foster positive engagement with the media, stakeholders, and the public. Experience in financial services industry is essential.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with finance, business journalists, and local PR agencies globally
  • Handle all media inquiries and interview requests
  • Write and distribute press releases and media advisories
  • Pitch story ideas and secure coverage in print, broadcast, and online media
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive PR strategy in line with the firm s business objectives
  • Craft key messages and talking points for the firm and its representatives
  • Manage crisis communication and rapid response to any negative press or publicity
  • Write and edit content for various platforms such as websites, social media, newsletters, and annual reports
  • Prepare presentations and briefing materials for executives
  • Engage with key stakeholders including clients, investors, industry influencers, & policy makers
  • Represent the firm at industry events and networking opportunities
  • Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all communication channels
  • Monitor and report on the firm s reputation and brand perception
  • Collaborate with the greater marketing team to align PR campaigns with marketing initiatives
  • Communicate PR strategies and results to internal stakeholders

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5 10 years of proven experience in a public relations, corporate communications, or media relations role
  • Experience in financial services or investment management industry
  • Bachelor s degree in public relations, communications, journalism, marketing, finance, or a related field
  • Proven track record of handling media inquiries and building relationships with journalists and influencers
  • A track record of successful PR campaigns and initiatives that have enhanced company reputation
