Assistant Merchandiser

*Provide merchandising support to the team on merchandise plans, IGPs, samples orders, development, tracking charts, PLM maintenance and prep of selling tools.*

**1. Merchandise Plans & Development**

* Maintain Merchandise Plans that outline assortments for all brands based on strategy notes.

* Work with team to implement merchandising plans and execute development according to timeline for all brands.

* Track development status according to timelines for all brands. Know, understand and facilitate forward progress of development status for all brands according to timeline.

* Resolve development issues as they arise in order to keep development on timeline.

* Manage style / SKU counts throughout the development season and keep assortments on track with style / SKU goals.

* Prepare for, participate in and recap development stage gate meetings (design concept, midline, final etc.) and weekly department development meetings (DSM etc.).

* Communicate with merchandising leadership, sales, design, sourcing, production, TD and business planning as needed to facilitate forward progress of development status for all brands according to timeline.

* Shop and understand retail landscape for all brands and tiers of distribution

**2. Sale Samples & Selling Tools**

* Create, maintain and execute all sales sample orders. Successfully execute from creation to delivery to the sales teams.

* Ensure samples orders are received and completed per timeline.

* Create product boards and other necessary materials for internal KR meetings and Sales presentation meetings as necessary across all businesses.

* Work with PD and sourced vendors to ensure samples are finalized and shipped according to timeline.

**3. PLM**

* Enter PLM data that falls under merchandising responsibility such as merch. plan, organize techpacks, etc. according to timeline. Ensure information in PLM is updated on a timely basis throughout the product life cycle.

* Complete merchandising review of techpacks to ensure timeline goals are met. This includes brand, sub brand info, target costs, pricing and any information needed for line lists.

* Create line sheets for all businesses and hand off to business planning according to the timeline. (manual or PLM)

**4. Workload Management**

* Balance and re-prioritize responsibilities while still completing tasks on timeline.

* Incorporate rush, off timeline or off process initiatives into workload while still maintain all other projects according to timeline.

* Ability to work in excess of 40hrs a week as needed.

* Ability to travel as needed.

* Update manager as to status of workload with an action plan as to timing to complete.

* Ability to handle fast paced office environment while effectively completing all necessary functions.

Required Skills **Required Skills:**

* Understanding of retail across all classes of trade.

* Great communication and interpersonal skills, over-all creative ability.

* Good organization skills with consistent follow-up to ensure timelines are met.

* Ability to articulate needs clearly. Very strong Excel and PLM abilities.

* A good grasp of product and how important product is to our business.

* Must have good math abilities to calculate IGP.

* Strong presentation and meeting facilitator skills.

Required Experience **Required Education/Training:**

* B.S. degree

* 2 -3 yrs experience in related field
