**POSITION SUMMARY**

The Assistant Manager, Information Technology is responsible for supporting the management and workflow of the National Headquarters Office. This includes undertaking a variety of office support tasks, providing and managing IT support and ongoing expense and vendor management processes.

**REPORTS TO**

Director of Finance and Administration

**PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES**

Office Management (20%)

Work with Building Management, the Executive Assistant and Director of Finance on office services and requests including:

* Advising the Director of Finance on needed services, identifying possible vendors and negotiating contracts

* Support the Director of Finance in the management of Purchase Order system and purchasing processes

* Backup support for the Receptionist and Front Desk

* Receive, forward, and send mail or packages as necessary

* Manage office day-to-day by organizing and improving office operations and procedures

Information Technology (80%)

Work directly with Managed IT Vendor and Management to establish and direct the goals, policies and procedures for the organization's information technology function including:

* Primary IT support specialist and user administrator: Coordinates internal technology requests and liaise with IT Vendor for information technology services and support; Onboarding/Offboarding users; Providing direction to staff; User account and database administration (Blackbaud Raisers Edge & Financial Edge NXT, Papersave, Apricot, etc)

* Serve in an advisory capacity to the Director to Finance on all IT related matters and needs for the organization

* Collaborating with departments to analyze their information technology needs

* Identifying trends and issues related to information technology and develop strategies for better workplace efficiency and goal achievement

* Creating, organizing, and leading trainings, presentations, and demonstrations for staff for all technology needs

* Creating and Implementing IT Manuals, Knowledgebase and Best Practices

* Researching and testing technology for possible future applications to increase organizational productivity and efficiency

* Maintain inventory of hardware, software and office equipment

* Identify and manage contracts with external technology and equipment vendors

* Special projects as needed

Other duties as assigned, including participation in A Better Chance organizational and programmatic efforts

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**

* 1-3 years of experience in supporting a face paced office and providing IT support

* Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or other related field

* Self-motivated, flexible, overly organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities

* Ability to maintain work flow on several projects simultaneously

* Knowledge of MS 365, Azure and Internet savvy

* Efficient and courteous telephone skills

* Good interpersonal skills, ability to work with individuals at various levels

* Good problem resolution and negotiation skills

* Experience with office systems (e.g., document management, filing, etc.)

* General understanding of nonprofit sector and youth and education-related environments

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**

* 5 years of experience in Office and IT support and management

* Efficient self-starter; takes initiative

* Some knowledge of Purchase Order and Financial Systems

* Understanding of Budget Management

* Some coding experience and knowledge of computer languages

* Service-oriented listener who can process information and respond in an appropriate manner

* Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
