Description:

The Sussex County Miners of the Frontier League are looking to hire an energetic, upbeat and entertaining Assistant General Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for the group ticket sales operation via personal sales and supervising of ticket sales personnel while also providing assistance with sponsorship sales. The Assistant General Manager is also responsible for the supervision and execution of all stadium operations including ticketing, food and beverage and day of game operations. Direct reports include box office manager, manager of food and beverage and all ticket sales personnel.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

1. Serve as advance ticket sales representative for the Team via the personal sales of ticket packages with an emphasis on group sales.

2. Responsible for the development of ideas and concepts to stimulate group nights and group outings.

3. Participate as club representative at local promotional and networking events (chamber events, fairs, festivals) with the primary purpose being to develop leads for Team inventory.

4. Assists with the creation and implementation of business development strategies and programs for the SC Miners leading to additional sponsorship, corporate and ticket sales opportunities.

5. Responsible for the development and implementation of community programs with the primary purpose of each program to drive ticket sales and attendance.

6. Assist the General Manager with the sale of Team inventory (fixed advertising assets, game sponsorships, and promotional opportunities).

7. Responsible for all seasonal staffing including hiring, training, scheduling, supervision and termination of employees.

8. Responsible for ensuring the box office is ready for day of game tickets sales including verification of cash drawers and testing of all technology (computers, printers, ticket stock)

9. Close out ticket sellers following each game.

10. Responsible for maintaining complete records in the teams ticketing system and becoming an expert with the teams ticketing platform.

11. Supervise and execute the set-up of game day items, ensuring stadium is ready for doors open including temporary sign installation and removal, concourse tables and displays and sponsor game presentation requirements.

12. Supervise and execute interns and internship program.

13. Responsible for ensuring the stadium is clean and safe for all events.

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience with venue operations and management preferred.

Experience with employee scheduling, management and training preferred. Experience with point of sale software.

Experience in a stadium, arena or entertainment venue environment preferred.
