Job Description:
The Assistant Director of Partnership Operations is responsible for supporting all partnership activities by providing data collection, research and analytics, reporting, training, budgeting, and marketing and partnership activity coordination. The goal of this position is to provide operational support and resources to ensure all facets of the partnership team are running smoothly which will enable the university and partnership team to grow inquiries, enrollments, credit taking, and revenue through established strategic partnerships. The Assistant Director of Partnership Operations will support the Executive Director, Business Development, Partnership Development, and Military and Veteran Outreach teams. The Assistant Director of Partnership Operations communicates partner observations and trends to appropriate team members, assists as a liaison between the Strategic Partnership and Alliances team and across various units at the university, provides insight into data, helps manage Salesforce activity associated with opportunities, communication requests, events or conferences, and new partner onboarding. In addition, aids with projects, marketing initiatives, budgeting, and provides training and/or support to the team. This is a full-time hybrid role with a minimum of two required days at Excelsior's home office of 7 Columbia Circle, Albany, NY, with the remainder of the days worked from home. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the development and implementation of all partnership activities that support the team and Excelsior's strategic plan, under the oversight of the Executive Director of Strategic Partnerships.
  • Collaborate with other Strategic Partnerships and Alliances team members to ensure best use of resources and best practices.
  • Assist the Strategic Partnerships and Alliances leadership team with training of team members.
  • Help define, implement, and modify metrics reporting and analysis.
  • Track and provide metric analysis for the team, individual staff, partners, and partnership activities including:
    • Social media campaigns and advertising
    • Communication tracks
    • On site and virtual events
    • Salesforce activities
    • Partner scholarships
    • Subcontractor activities
  • Generate and provide reports and updates to leadership, team members, and partners.
  • Monitor and inform interactive tools for partners, integrate technologies for optimal tracking capabilities, monitor, and report user experience data.
  • Function as the team's power user for Salesforce and SharePoint and as the team's Project Manager.
  • Serve as budget liaison providing monthly detail transaction reports and report budget spending. for tracking purposes.

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • At least three years of work experience in a related role such as operations management, data collection and analysis, reporting, research skills, statistical analysis is required.
  • Experience working in Higher Education or other learning related field with adult learners a plus, as is additional professionals work experience.
  • Ability to master a wide body of knowledge and information.
  • Strong math skills and exceptional knowledge of Excel to manage dashboards and metrics.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Salesforce and SharePoint required.
  • Ability to review/prepare accurate detailed documents.
  • Ability to work with multiple, diverse stakeholders across complex organizations and different populations and recognize opportunities for growth.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Demonstrates creativity, enthusiasm, and an openness to innovation.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, written communications, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, decision making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel locally, regionally, and/or nationally. Occasional weekend/evening hours and overnight travel.
The hiring salary range for this position is $58,500.00 - $60,000.00. The hiring salary range above represents the University's good faith estimate at the time of posting.
