ASSEMBLY OPERATOR II

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Assembly Teams operate assigned automated assembly machinery, ensure component flow, troubleshoot and correct machinery issues to ensure quality and productivity. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

ASSEMBLY:

Reading & Understanding Procedures

Hand loading/unloading parts and subassemblies into/from assembly fixtures

Operation of semi-automatic and automatic assembly equipment.

Single subassembly of small parts

Spotwelding of small parts

Adjusting of Open Relay Assemblies

Baking Operations of parts/assemblies

Accurate Recordkeeping

Examples of Tools & Equipment used:

Automatic/Semi-Automatic Benchtop Assembly Equipment, including spotwelding, presses and lasers.

Various hand tools including tweezers, holding fixtures, & measuring devices

Adjust Station & handheld adjusting sockets

Microscope or Magnifying Lamp

Industrial Baking & Vacuum Ovens

FINAL INSPECTION & PACKING:

Reading & Understanding Procedures

Inspects relays and sockets against established specifications

Performs final cleaning & assembly operations

Packs relays to prepare for shipping

Accurate Recordkeeping

Other Duties May Include:

Acting as a back-up for Team Leader

Performing cycle-counting and/or computer transactions utilizing the site s ERP System

Other related duties and projects as deemed necessary

Requirements:

Min. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Strong visual acuity

Good manual dexterity with small parts

Basic Computer Skills

Able to effectively communicate in English (speaking, reading, writing)

Must be able to operate in a team environment.

The employee is frequently required to wear appropriate PPE based upon the operation being performed.

COMPENSATION

Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $33,280 $38,542.40 (subject to change dependent on physical location)

Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
