At our core, we are Advanced Energy powering the future, together.POSITION SUMMARY:The Quality Inspector performs basic to moderately complex quality inspections on products both within and at the end of the manufacturing process including recording, tracking, and reporting the results of the inspections and helping to implement corrective actions.RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs inspections on products, including both surface mount and through hole PCBs, both manufactured and repaired, to ensure quality standards are maintainedMaintains accurate and up-to-date records and data sheets on in-process and end-of-line inspection failuresPerforms first article inspections on productsReports results in a clear format on a regular basisAssists in identifying root cause and corrective actions and co-owns the implementation of corrective actionsReports quality issues to production supervisor or lead and maintains confidentialityMay assist in training othersOther duties as requiredWORK ENVIRONMENT:Location: Ronkonkoma, NYEnvironment: Manufacturing facilityPhysical Requirements: 60% sitting, 20% walking, 20% standing, lift and carry up to 30 lbs.QUALIFICATIONS:Knowledge of IPC-610-A (or equivalent) and ISO processesAbility to interpret procedures and determine if non-conformities existKnowledge and understanding of ESD practicesAbility to interpret quality standards, specifications and drawings and apply them when evaluating productAbility to interact professionally with others on the team and support groupsPC skills basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook and Excel preferredAbility to work under limited supervisionAbility to work overtime as neededEXPERIENCE:Minimum of one year of experience inspection experience in an electronic manufacturing environment inspecting electro-mechanical assembliesExperience in a high mix/low volume, pull-based manufacturing environmentEDUCATION:High School Diploma or EquivalentASQ, CMI, CQA Certifications preferredCOMPENSATION:As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.
