Aerospace Technical Project Manager

$90-$100/HR
Looking for a Strong mechanical / electrical engineer who s primary responsibility would be project/program management for at least 2 to 5 projects. An example is the manufacture of a power generator ( e.g. ~ 1MW) where various pieces are outsourced, manufacturing at our facility, sent to various vendors for inspection processes , returned to our facility for final assembly, and then sent to the appropriate site for final commissioning.
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree with 5 years experience in project management of a highly technical discipline
- Experience in the electrical systems domain in the Aerospace, Military, and/or Automotive markets and customers
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
- Looking ahead work
- Look at the upcoming technical tasks
- Communicate what is overdue, due the current work week, and will be coming after the current work week
- Anticipate what risks could occur, materialize, and the impact they would have
- Contingencies to mitigate those risks, time savings they would generate, and what the costs would be to implement
- Work to follow through him/herself to implement
- For those items that are impacting schedule
- Why that issue occurred, root cause, and the corrective action
- Correct countermeasure alternative generation
- Provide project execution status summary reports and presentation to individual contributors, peers, and leadership
- Desired, but not required
- Security clearance or ability to obtain a clearance-
- Controls technical experience
- Electric generator or motor design
- Hardware in the Loop (HIL) test experience- good at DSPACE, Speedgoat from mathworks would be good, PLC s
- CAD- Catia would be nice. Expeierence doing simulations with flex or simulik
- Experience in Simulink and Mathworks tool suite
