**Description**

* Maintain and develop supplier relationships in support of INFICON's tactical and strategic initiatives. Develop, manage and support strategic supplier development via a commodity base strategy.

* Manage on-boarding and qualification of new suppliers.

* Point of contact for strategic suppliers for Operations, R&D, Engineering, Tactical Buyers and any other department as needed**.** Engagement with marketing and engineering departments to support new product development.

* Coordination all negotiation activities with respect to assigned commodity and/or supplier base.

* Manage supplier quality and compliance activities - i.e. 8D process, monitor and reduce supplier lead-times. Monitor and improve supplier delivery reliability. Own escalation process with suppliers, (Quality and Delivery issues).

* Support (or lead) efforts to engage suppliers in lean manufacturing methodology to improve on time delivers, lead time reductions and shared cost savings and/or optimization.

* Remain knowledgeable surrounding economic and industrial trends that affect the market's prices and capacity.
