Job Description:
The Westchester Educational Opportunity Center (WEOC), a division of Westchester Community College, is seeking experienced, energetic, innovative, results oriented professionals to join its team. Located in Yonkers, NY, this non-traditional adult education institution provides tuition-free academic and vocational training to eligible underserved adults seeking to develop basic academic and vocational skills competencies and credentials needed for enrollment in college and/or entry into the workforce.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Seeking energetic and engaging Adjunct Faculty to teach EKG and Phlebotomy. The incumbent will provide classroom and clinical instruction for students interested in employment in the EKG and Phlebotomy field, and those seeking to advance their careers with specialty certifications as Phlebotomy and EKG Technicians. Successful candidates must demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of a diverse population and have the ability to work effectively with students who have barriers to employment. Classes may be offered days or evenings.
Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate must possess a minimum of a Master's Degree in the field to be taught from a recognized college or university with one year of practical experience in that field. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication and presentation skills are required; the ability to establish a rapport with students and maintain an environment that supports learning and promotes student retention, experience teaching remotely, and experience using an LMS are also required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience teaching adult learners and at-risk populations strongly preferred. Organizational and detail-oriented skills also preferred.

POSITION EFFECTIVE: Spring 2023.
SALARY & BENEFITS: The hourly rate of pay is $82.57. No benefits. This position is fully grant funded.
