MSA Security, an Allied Universal Company, is hiring a Accounts Payable Manager. The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the Accounts Payable Department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments to vendors, and carrying out internal controls related to verifying and reconciling invoices. In addition, the AP Manager oversees employee expense reimbursements where field personnel incur business expenses initially paid by the employee. The AP Manager is also a key contributor in the month-end close process and provides supporting schedules for month end accruals. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure team members perform their duties effectively.RESPONSIBILITIES:Oversee the accurate and timely processing of invoicesReview and verify invoices for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policiesResolve discrepancies and issues related to invoicesCoordinate and execute the payment process, including check runs, ACH transfers, and Wire TransfersEnsure payments are made on time and in accordance with established termsBe the lead liaison to the company's key systems support suppliers (Amex, Concur)Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, business partners, and suppliersAddress and resolve inquiries from vendors regarding paymentsOversee and contribute to the processing of expense report reimbursements to field employeesAdminister and oversee the Company's corporate credit card program with AmexEnsure payments are made in accordance with company policiesProvide Supporting AP schedules at month end to determine appropriate accrualsWork closely with accounting personnel to manage the AP sub ledger and ensure all AP related liabilities are recorded in the general ledgerIdentify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency within the AP functionImplement best practices to streamline processes and reduce costsSelection and placement of accounts payable personnel; design and implement career development and performance improvement plansQUALIFICATIONS:Associate degree in Finance, Accounting, or related fieldMinimum of five (5) years of Accounts Payable managerial experienceExperience with managing company corporate credit card programs, preferably AMEXStrong interpersonal oral and written communication skillsStrong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage competing deadlinesEffective problem-solving skills to address issues related to invoices, payments, and vendor relationships.
