- Our client is seeking an Accounting Supervisor to support accounting needs during a period of rapid growth in their Long Island City Office, Daily
- This person will be responsible for owning key accounting activities and processes across the business and will play an integral and visible role in keeping the business on track

Role Responsibilities- Accounting Supervisor:
- Prepare and analyze quarterly internal consolidated and consolidating financial statements including Work in Process (WIP) Schedules
- Manage month-end closing schedule and oversee preparation of all account reconciliations, preparation and review of journal entries in the GL
- Prepare variance analyses for specific accounts to assist the FP&A and leadership teams in identifying key insights
- Lead various accounting transaction cycles, while focusing on improving the established processes
- Assist with annual external audits by preparing schedules, documenting, and explaining procedures
- Lead or assist on ad-hoc projects as needed (e.g. tax compliance, system implementations).

Preferred Qualifications- Accounting Supervisor:
- 6+ years of construction (cost to cost) accounting experience
- Previous supervisory experience
- Solid communication skills and ability to manage a team
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting or CPA highly preferred
- Advanced Excel capabilities/knowledge
- Strong understanding of US GAAP
