Role & Responsibility:
Tasks That Will Lead To Your Success
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations for all accounts, tied into the monthly trial balance.
- Perform month end closing with accurate cut-off; journal entries, general ledger maintenance, trial balance and supporting schedules for financial statements preparation.
- Champion improvements in policies, procedures, and system enhancement with the goal of enhancing internal control, completeness and accuracy.
- Reconcile Intercompany accounts.
- Assist with month-end variance analysis, factory performance and monthly highlights reporting.
- Assist with decision making regarding technical accounting issues.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
- Assist Accounts Payable with internal invoice approvals, routing, and follow up.
- Assist in the company's annual audit, including the preparation and review of documents submitted to the external auditors, helping to manage workflow, and providing ongoing communications with the audit team.
- Monitor daily cash flow and prepare forecasts to ensure the company has the liquidity to meet its obligations.
- Prepare financial and other ad-hoc reports.
Skills & Experience:
Qualifications That Will Help You Thrive
- Bachelor s degree in accounting/finance, CPA preferred.
- 7+ years of experience with the full accounting cycle.
- Previous experience working with an ERP system in a manufacturing environment with standard costing and variance analysis.
- Proficient in Excel including broad experience utilizing Pivot tables, creating reports, and manipulating large data sets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present financial information to management.
