Accounting Manager
CFS has partnered with a property management organization looking to onboard an Accounting Manager to work closely with the SVP and VP and play a part in developing the next generation of leaders.About the role:
- Work with SVP and VP of Accounting to enhance and/or develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation, effectiveness, and efficiency of the department
- Total involvement with all accounting and reporting functions of assigned portfolios under management including reporting results internally and externally to lenders and investor partners
- Beginning-to-end preparation and review of monthly Income Tax Basis and GAAP financial statements with analysis of actual to budget variances
- Review monthly property reporting packages including data from legal, construction, and other operations groups
- Responsible for lender debt compliance including DSCR and debt yield calculations
Responsibilities:
- Work with SVP and VP of Accounting to enhance and/or develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation, effectiveness, and efficiency of the department
- Total involvement with all accounting and reporting functions of assigned portfolios under management including reporting results internally and externally to lenders and investor partners
- Manage and monitor cash flow and forecasting
- Beginning-to-end preparation and review of monthly Income Tax Basis and GAAP financial statements with analysis of actual to budget variances
- Review monthly property reporting packages including data from legal, construction, and other operations groups
- Responsible for lender debt compliance including DSCR and debt yield calculations
- Participate in the preparation, review, and re-forecast of annual budgets
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 4+ years of financial analysis experience (Public experience preferred)
- Strong systems experience: MRI, Nexus, and Procore experience all a plus!
- Experience overseeing and developing staff
- Residential or commercial real estate experience (commercial experience preferred)
- Tax and GAAP basis experience
- Organized and reliable with strong analytical skills and attention to detail
