- CFS New York is working with a stable non-profit agency looking for an Accounting Manager to join their growing team
- This non-profit agency has been around for over 50 years and strives to support individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities, mental illness and traumatic brain injury.
- This role will be reporting directly to the VP of Accounting while additionally working with the VP and CFO on special projects.
- The team here prides themselves on fundraising events, teamwork, and collaboration
- This role will be fully on-site in Bethpage, Long Island
Role Responsibilities: Accounting Manager
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial and managerial reports
- Manage all aspects of budgets, audits, internal, and external reporting for the various organizations
- Supervise the staff on the reporting & budget team
- Responsible for the overall preparation of the CFR for each reporting entity
- Perform reviews to ensure accuracy of data throughout the general ledger and all subsidiary ledgers
- Create reports for updating both the accounting and operations teams on the financial performance
- Ensure that all required documentation (paper and electronic) is completed /processed appropriately, in a timely manner, and meets quality and compliance thresholds
Preferred Qualifications: Accounting Manager
- Not-for-profit background is preferred
- 5+ Years of Accounting experience and 2+ years of experience in a supervisory position
- BA Degree in Accounting or a similar field is a must
- Intermediate excel skills is a must
- CPA is a plus
