About the organization:
- The organization has been around for almost 100 years
- The majority of properties are in NYC, with other locations in Florida, California, and the Midwest
- The firm is located in Midtown, Manhattan.
Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:
- Perform various reconciliations for all properties in the assigned portfolio on a monthly basis
- Investments, checking, money market accounts
- Record and monitor daily bank account activity for properties.
- Post cash and disbursement entries as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments on ad hoc projects to ensure needed information is provided in a proper and timely manner.
Qualifications of the Staff Accountant:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience in the real estate industry
- CPA or Public Accounting Experience a plus
- Salary up to $75K depending upon experience level
