During the 10-week program, Summer Analysts experience the culture and atmosphere of Morgan Stanley by performing a role similar to a Full-Time Analyst on the desk.Participating MSIM Product and Strategy teams are listed below. MSIM Product teams are integrated into the Global Product Organization. Acceptance into the program will include exposure to all 3 teams, as well as the opportunity to learn about groups across MSIM business units through a Speaker Series run throughout the duration of the Program.Product Development - Public MarketsThe U.S. Public Markets Product Development Team collaborates with Portfolio Management, Distribution, Senior Management, and various internal stakeholders on the development and implementation of Global Equity, Global Fixed Income, and Multi-Asset investment products in an effort to support MSIM's overall business strategy and key strategic initiatives. The Team manages new products through the entire product lifecycle from the idea generation stage through the approval process and ultimately to successful operational launches across multiple asset classes and vehicle structures.Product Development - Private Funds / AlternativesThe MSIM Alternatives Product Development team is responsible for overseeing all aspects of fund launches for private equity, private credit, real estate, infrastructure and hedge funds. The team partners with portfolio manager during the creation, design, and execution phases of these fund launches. The team leads initiatives with the sales and distribution team on competitor analysis The team also equips the Sales and Distribution Teams with current market updates, competitor analysis and trends in efforts to develop and maintain the product development pipeline.Strategy, Corporate Development, and M&A - MSIM WideThe MSIM Strategy team analyzes and advises MSIM's senior leadership team on the division's strategic priorities and goals. The team is primarily responsible for developing and executing key organic growth initiatives and projects such as development of fundraising plans/goals, development and launch of new client coverage programs and assisting in the launch of new products/strategies. We also lead the division's corporate development and M&A work streams and work to source transactions working with other industry participants and bankers and then evaluating them in conjunction with business leads.Training ProgramThe Investment Management Summer Analyst Program consists of one week of comprehensive training and nine weeks working within an Investment Management (IM) team. The training curriculum is designed to equip Summer Analysts with the fundamental skills they need to be successful in IM. The week one training includes a Firmwide orientation, business overviews, professional development, technical training, and networking events.Primary Responsibilities
